As Head of Digial and Social Media you will add immediate value by delivering the visions of Etihad, Abu Dhabi and the UAE. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Strategy
Define and cascade the Function/Department strategy to ensure the alignment with Etihad's strategy
- Policies and procedures
Define and cascade policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/ regulatory/legislative requirements are fulfilled
- Budget Management
Develop and cascade Function/Department budget, and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment
- People Management
Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize subordinate performance
- Health and Safety
Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define the role of social media, its mission, vision and strategy at brand and channel level for Etihad Airways.
- Develop and champion data-led global content strategies that successfully improve Etihad's brand awareness, affinity and revenue initiatives.
- Drive the vision, strategy and framework of all social media work streams including daily editorial, campaigns, influencer strategies and social PR at both a global and local level.
- Create and manage a measurement framework and success metrics for social media that support the commercial and company objectives.
- Lead, develop, motivate and inspire a successful team of content creators, writers and producers.
- Manage creative internally and externally (with agencies), providing vision and inspiration to integrate social concepts and best practices with broader campaign themes.
- Collaborate with internal and external strategic business partners to develop joint marketing strategies, ensuring they are integrated with the plans of other business channels.
- Ability to partner, negotiate and influence cross-functional partnerships and integrate successfully with stakeholders at all layers of Etihad's organization.
- Ability to define complex social media operations, anticipating and pre-empting challenges to adapt and create campaigns and content in real-time.
- Define and teach social best practices, strategies and guidelines in context to multiple departments and their initiatives.
- Collaborate with Etihad's Digital Transformation hub to forward-plan the role of social media in marketing and distribution.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- University Degree in marketing (or similar); MBA preferred
- 10+ years' experience with some combination of social media, digital marketing, consumer brand and agency work in marketing and communications.
- Several years' experience managing cross-cultural teams
- Great leadership experience, a high EQ and a confident presence
- Highly creative with proven creative taste, vision and strong instinct for story telling that will get consumers talking.
- Deep knowledge of the social media landscape, including strong relationships with social media platforms and an understanding not only of their features and technology but of consumer behaviors emerging every day.
- Experience backing creative direction with data-led insights and the ability to make social metrics meaningful in a commercial context.
- Flawless writing skills
- Ability to present and influence at senior levels
- Strong understanding of social media and creative in the UAE
- Experience navigating large organizations to get information to the right places and be able to affect change.
