The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn (pre-opening). At the moment we are looking for an Assistant Director of Front Office to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate Front Office team at InterContinental Hotel Dubai Festival City .

The primary responsibility of this role is to structure / align the Front Office Department policies and procedures to deliver Great Hotels Guests Love and create the right environment in which our colleagues can experience our Winning Ways and IHG Commitment. Under the direction of the Front Office Director , and in full support and alignment with direct reports of Reception Managers, the Assistant Director of Front Office is responsible for managing a team of 50 colleagues in order to deliver the highest level of services to all guests.

The key responsibilities are:


• Oversee the Front Desk, Rooms coordination, Business Centre, Instant Service and Police Reporter operations
• Ensure that proactive action is taken to ensure the needs of all guests are met and that additional measures are taken to create lasting experiences
• Give particular attention to the implementation and delivery of the InterContinental brand standards and recognition VIP guests, Priority Club Members and Royal Ambassadors
• Work closely with the Reception Managers, Club InterContinental Manager and Chief Concierge to ensure synergies exist between sections and to ensure all Front Office operations run in an efficient and effective manner
• Holds self and others accountable for achieving results. Delivers by meeting tough deadlines and uses specific performance measures to track progress and improve future performance
• Takes steps to follow through, ensuring tasks are fully completed; independently checks to ensure accuracy and quality
• Develops detailed understanding of the market and guests' need, challenges the way things are done; identifies areas requiring change and suggests ideas to support the change
• Identifies opportunities to improve profitability of own area, implementation and maintenance of brand standards and standard operating procedures <br><br> Required Qualifications:


• Minimum 2 years' experience as Assistant Director of Front Office in larger operations (>400 inventory room hotel) or minimum 2 years' experience as Front Office Manager in a smaller operation (>400 inventory room hotel)
• Associate's degree in hospitality management and / or relevant degree or certified accreditation
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and Opera system
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and essential knowledge of Arabic
• A self-starter approach with business understanding and link the business environment to IHG® commitments
• High level of drive for results and ability to lead and motivate team members to achieve the results
• Adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships in a multi-cultural environment and gain trust and support of team members and senior managers
• Exceptional planning, organizing and delegating skills with attention to detail
• Ability to exhibit strong decision making skills to deliver brand service standards resulting in highest guest satisfaction
• High level of integrity to lead by example and gain respect of peers and colleagues
• InterContinental Brand experience preferred
