The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn (pre-opening). In addition to over 1000+ bedrooms, the four properties boast a selection of high quality restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800 square meter Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000 square meters Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, state-of -the-art gymnasium facilities, and swimming pool facilities.

At the moment, we're looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to join our pre-opening team at Holiday Inn®, Dubai Festival City .

The role's primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of the Food and Beverage operation according to the Holiday Inn® Dubai Festival City business objectives and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels Group ® policies and procedures . To perform the human resource function in ensuring staff selection, training, counselling and recognition programs are adhered to in order to maximize performance standards and to adhere to guest service standards in order to maximise guest satisfaction . Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.

Additional key responsibilities are:

• Oversees the five food and beverage outlet of Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City
• Oversees the Food and Beverage employees, facilities, sales and costs, to ensure maximum departmental profit is achieved
• Controls and analyses the quality levels of products and services, guest satisfaction, merchandising and marketing, operational costs, sanitation and cleanliness in order to optimize a sustainable bottom line performance.
• Coordinates and supervises the preparation, presentation and service of food products to ensure the highest quality at all times
• Supervises and coordinates, pricing and preparation of menus, beverage and wine lists by taking into consideration such factors as local requirements, market needs, competition, trends, recipes, potential costs, availability of food and beverage products, etc.
• Coordinates with the Finance and Business Support Manager on determining the minimum and maximum Food and Beverage par stocks. Approves all wine purchases and other Food and Beverage items in accordance with InterContinental Hotel Group ® quality and quantity standards
• Conducts weekly Food and Beverage meetings relating to, but not limited to the overall food and beverage financial results and profitability, projected business, operations results and problems, changes in procedures, new management policies, quality improvement, sales improvement, productivity improvement, etc.
• Keeps and up-to-date standard recipe file for all Food and Beverage items that includes sales history, sales mix, actual costs, potential costs, par stock, production time, etc.
• Implements a daily, weekly and monthly checklist for all Food and Beverage departments. Ensures proper follow-up to attain maximum quality and efficiency
• Keeps aware of trends, systems, practices and equipment in Food and Beverage preparation and service in the hotel and restaurant field through trade literature and actual visits
• Interacts with individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to, clients, suppliers, government officials, competitors and other members of the local community
• Works with the Human Resources Team on planning for future staffing needs, recruits in line with company guidelines, prepares detailed induction programmes for new employees, maintains a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation, ensures training needs analysis of Food and Beverage employee is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs, conducts probation and formal performance appraisal in line with company guidelines, maintains up to date employee records and approves leave requests, coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department's budget, Co-ordinate the preparation of the departmental annual budget and manage the Department's expenses
• Participates in preparation of the hotel's strategic plan, marketing plan and goals programme. <br><br> Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Excellent command of English
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent
• Computer literacy (Microsoft applications) and superb management skills
• At least 5 years' experience within Food and Beverage sector
• International Food and Beverage exposure is an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or equivalent.
• InterContinental Experience is an added advantage
