Holiday Inn Downtown Dubai combines the welcoming atmosphere of old Dubai and the vibrant cosmopolitan life of downtown. This long-standing Dubai hotel, with its well provided 139 rooms delight business and leisure travelers alike with its central location and easy access to the various destinations in Dubai.
You'll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we're looking for someone who can handle the following key job responsibilities:
Lead the Sales & Marketing team in setting the Sales goals and maximize profitability. Participate in the preparation of the annual budget, the hotel marketing plan, business plan and financial plan Prepare the forecasts, monthly reports, to analyse the current/ potential market and sales trends. Coordinate activities to increase the revenue and market share for the hotel Ensure the performance of the hotel meets or exceeds the established revenue plan Manage day-to-day sales activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognise good performance Educate and train sales team that is responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing sales strategies. Â· Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
Â· Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experience.
Â· Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
Â· Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
Â· Identify operational problems that reduce the effectiveness of marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with appropriate department on solutions.
Â· Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
Â· Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty .<br><br>QUALIFICATIONS:
Â· Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field, and two to four years' experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Â· Must have experience of working at a similar property in Dubai, preferable to have experience of working in Deira/ Bur Dubai market
Â· Preferable to have work experience in a property which has undergone recent renovation/ has experience of Repositioning the business mix of the hotel.
Â· Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
