Job Summary

Purchases and manages moderately complex agreements for materials, equipment, services, rentals, and leases. Identifies, solicits, evaluates, and awards bids for supplier quotations, proposals, and product descriptions. Analyzes supplier standard item and service proposals for price, performance, capability, quality, delivery, compliance with order terms, and consistency with sourcing strategy. Negotiates, awards, and implements contracts and purchase orders. Supports identification and implementation of cost improvements for purchased materials and services. Communicates with field and project personnel to evaluate compliance with purchase contracts. Resolves problems regarding material delivery, price discrepancies, quality issues, invoice discrepancies, and/or adjustments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

+ 2+ years related experience.

+ Knowledge of procurement practices, procedures and policies.

+ Working knowledge of business and contract law.Knowledge of accounting principles.

+ Knowledge of MRP, ERP, and purchasing and logistics systems and processes.Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.

+ Knowledge of materials and services delivery fulfillment processes.

+ Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

+ Demonstrated effective influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Other Education: Business
