In order to support this growth, SPIE Oil & Gas Services is always seeking talented individuals to join its teams.We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC in Qatar for a:SHUTDOWN SAFETY OFFICERThis is an opportunity for you to have a unique opportunity to be responsible for and provide, with full responsibility and accountability, a technical service to Corporation in the areas of Health and Safety during definition, detailed design and execution stages to ensure Contractor(s) compliance to established HSE policies, procedures and regulationsYour main duties will be to:- - Provide, with full responsibility and accountability, a technical service to Corporation in the areas of Health and Safety during definition, detailed design and execution stages to ensure Contractor(s) compliance to established HSE policies, procedures and regulations. - Carries out duties and responsibilities for all areas of work covered in HSE aspects of Major Projects. Ensures adherence by client and Contractor personnel to HSE policies, procedures and regulations with respect to active/passive fire safety systems, special protection systems, life safety and fire risk assessment, safety studies/reviews, security systems, emergency response programs, emergency lighting and communication systems. Etc. - Responsible for monitoring related activities within project sites and conducting daily inspection and ensuring the work being carried out is in line with approved JSA, Risk Assessment, and Method Statement and approved Permit to Work System. Ideally you will have a Graduate in Science with Valid NEBOSH (IGC) or Diploma in Safety Engineering.You will have at least 2 years experience in process Industry. You will have proven SHUTDOWN expereince in Fertilier or petrochmical plants.You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English. SPIE Oil & Gas Services promotes diversity.
