Project Controls Lead

Wood Industrial Services are currently recruiting for a Project Controles Lead with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries The role is a permanent staff position and will be based in the London areaResponsibilities and Duties- Establish and agree level of reporting required and ensure responsibilities are defined and all reports are issued in a timely manner
- Ensure cost and schedule baselines are put in place at an early stage of the project and communicated to the project team
- Ensure that all control mechanisms are established to monitor performance and analyse trends and prepare forecasts to review with Project Management
- Ensure effective change Control mechanisms are established and that agreed Changes are reflected in budgets and schedule
- Hold regular progress and co-ordination meetings
- Direct and control the work of all Planning Engineers assigned to the project
- Liaise with Client Project Control personnel as necessary
- Timely preparation and issue of - Overall Project Schedule Level 1
- Project Schedule Level 2
- Project Network Level 3
- Schedule Basis Memorandum (SBM)
- Manpower Histogram
- Critical Equipment Lists Schedules
- Progress S Curves and tabulations
- Manhour Manpower histograms

- Short-term look ahead schedules
- Monthly progress report including narrative
- Ensure that all involved parties participate in preparation of items described above and that they agree to their respective elements and approve documents where necessary
- Produce current physical progress reports and final job statistics
- Prepare and issue project action reports to Project Manager Project Control Manager

Skills Qualifications

- Relevant qualification in project controls
- Demonstrable knowledge and hands-on experience in a similar planning scheduling progress measurement cost control practices
- Strong analytical interpretive organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
