Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
â¢Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
â¢Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers
â¢Attend hotel client events and local community business events and networking
â¢Ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
â¢Develop business leads for the Hotel on weekly basis
â¢Solicit group, transient and/or banquet business through action plan preparation and execution
â¢Establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices, confirming by written contracts
â¢Participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel and trade related organizations
â¢ Update management on guest arrivals to provide excellent service to all of them
â¢Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details within the appropriate software applications
â¢Work closely with Events and Front Office to ensure all details of the contract were delivered and guests depart satisfied
â¢Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required
â¢Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
â¢Follow departmental policies and procedures
â¢Follow all safety policies
â¢ Other duties as assigned
â¢ Convey a high level of understanding of the importance of attention to detail
â¢ Must possess a professional presentation
â¢ Minimum two years experience in hotel operations, related to or preferably in corporate sales
â¢ Previous leadership experience required
â¢ Previous Property Management System experience required
â¢ Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
â¢ University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
â¢ Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
â¢ Highly responsible & reliable
â¢ Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
â¢ Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments and follow-up
â¢ Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems with good judgment
â¢ Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
â¢ Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
