917376 - Deputy Vessel Upgrade ManagerJob Description GeneralResponsible for the safe and effective execution of vessel upgrade scopes and communication of project goals and expectations.Build and lead a high performance team to facilitate successful delivery of the vessel upgrades and reactivationsProvide direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and external contractorsManage interfaces within the Marine & Subsea group to ensure upgrade requirements for marine vessels are clearly identified, engineered and achievableEnsure that all upgrade related works are detailed against agreed and auditable CTR packagesEnsure that all upgrade works are performed within budget and forecast timescaleResponsible for managing contractor project execution performance and scope deliveryMaintain awareness and promote conformance to GPO expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the upgrades team and the contractors.Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the GPO, Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management and Management of ChangeResponsible for ensuring SD2 lessons learned are captured and shared with the GPODeputy Vessel Upgrades ManagerPerformance manages the installation contractor’s asset management team to deliver on scheduleManage the SD2 and installation contractor’s site supervision teams to ensure HSE targets are met and a safe working environment is provided for all reactivation and upgrade worksManage the SD2 vessel upgrade works accordance with our clients’s Q&HSE expectationsProvide input and support the offshore integrated schedule and synergies across delivery groupsManage the vessel upgrades execution costs and own the budgetAssure upgrades to the PLBH and all supporting vessels required to execute the pipelines installation scope meet all the SD2 Project needsManage preparation and updating of cost control estimatesMaintain site reporting systems and provide input to Project Services management reportsMaintain close contact with the clients Project & Construction Management networks to ensure the relevant lessons and practices are evaluated for applicability to SD2Engineering / project management degree and Chartered professional status accreditation with a recognised institutionA minimum of 15 years experience in project management of offshore assets and construction teamsProven capability of building and leading successful teamsExperience with site construction activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues.Personal SpecificationSkill Requirements:Exhibits understanding of our clients practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction qualityProactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major ProjectsAbility to intervene in in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required resultA high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skillsFinancial and commercial awareness.Self-motivated.Computer literateKey Behaviours:SafetyDemonstrates personal commitment to achieving the highest standards of HSE and responsibility for the safety and well-being of everyone around them.Proven capability to develop team safety and risk management skillsFollows the requirements specified in OMS, and contribute to the delivery of safe, compliant and reliable operations.RespectAdheres to the Code of Conduct and to local laws and regulations.Pursues systematic management through standardisation, clarification and the elimination of defects.Follows and upholds the rules and standards of the client and holds others to account for doing the same thing.Plans carefully, makes well-informed decisions and does the right thing.Fosters learning, the sharing of knowledge and continuous improvementCourageSpeaks out when seeing something is not right and is prepared to so “no” or “stop” when necessaryOne TeamAn outstanding team playerRecognizes and acknowledges the contribution of others.Develops trust from others by delivering on accountabilitiesTactful and persuasiveOur role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
