Mine Engineer Scheduler - Canada

LOCATION: Fort McMurray, Alberta (CA-AB) JOB NUMBER: 19941   Job Overview Reporting to the manager, mine operational planning, you will be responsible for mid-range mine scheduling at our oil sands base mines. Key Accountabilities Generate multiple mine schedules for our mid-range oil sands mine planning Ensure proper scenario planning is occurring in order for various interactions (haul roads, tailings corridors, AHS implementation, powerlines, etc.) be scheduled appropriately inside the ore/waste mining sequence Partner with the short term planning group and identify any issues that may arise Source information by partnering with various stakeholders and teams across the organization Support general mine planning activities such as road design, placement planning and other special projects as required Support the annual business plan Required Qualifications Experience and Education: Minimum 4 years of mine engineering experience, preferably in oil sands Field experience and/or mine scheduling experience is strongly preferred Bachelors degree in mine engineering is required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work with XPAC software is an asset You thrive working in a fast-paced working environment You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value You are a strategic thinker and able to incorporate the bigger picture Working Conditions This position is based in Fort McMurray with a Monday to Friday work schedule If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible candidates Why Suncor Go ahead.
