Role Summary\:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an
opening for a Chemical Technician in the Paulsboro, NJ area. This Chemical
Technician will primarily support the Paulsboro Refinery. This technician will
work closely with the Site Manager, Representatives, plant operations and
engineering to provide successful chemical treatments programs and chemical
deliveries. Additionally, the technician might be required to support other
customer sites throughout the northeast. This position will work independently
at times or within a team to complete projects or goals. Work tasks are, but
not limited to\:

Maintain compliance with Safety, Health, and
Environmental & Security RegulationsMaintain compliance with Department of Transportation
(DOT) RequirementsWork with and maintain pumps, generators, hoses, and
fittingsInstall and repair chemical injection and monitoring
systemsSafely perform chemical transfers and deliveriesCollect water and process samples for analysis or
shipmentConduct laboratory testing of product, hydrocarbon, and
water samplesDocument and communicate field/laboratory findingsInventory, maintain and order lab supplies for testing
or monitoring equipment

Essential Responsibilities\:

Work with operations and engineering to run and
maintain programsInstall and maintain additive injection systemsCompile and interpret results of tests and analysesWork with pumps, generators, hoses, and fittingsDeliver and transfer chemicalsFlexible 24/7 on call working hours, if neededWork with internal and external customers

Qualifications/Requirements\:

High School Diploma with 8 years experience OR
Associates Degree with 5 years experience OR Bachelors Degree
with 3 years experienceMechanical aptitudeUnderstanding of basic refinery/chemical plant
operationMust be TWIC card eligibleAbility to lift over 50 lbs. (pumps, hoses, etc.) Must be able to be on call 24/7Must be able to travel overnight
